Scouting in North Carolina began in 1910 in Greensboro, with the founding of what seems to be the state's first scout troop. The Greensboro Area Council of the BSA was formed in 1918. 

Thereare many opportunities to be a part of Scouts in Clayton, NC.  For more information on Boy Scouts in thearea, please visit The Tuscarora Council at www.bsanc.org. The council is divided into three districts & the Neusiok District serves Johnston County.
